And for those of you who are wondering, for Pete's sake, what's this got to do with 1904?  See yesterday. 

Stop Making Sense

D. called out of the blue.

"I want you to stop destroying the future of black youth," he explained right off the bat.

"I'm trying.  I really am," I replied, always on the defensive. 

"I mean it," D. insisted.  "I can't think how many times I've warned you about this."

"Excercise and moderate consumption of alcohol is good for you."

"Not in your case."

"They did a study."

"How many fingers am I holding up?"

"What do you know about abstract expressionism?" I asked.  I was wondering about what you call it when an image inspires an image.  Besides stream of consciousness, maybe. 

"Why?" D. asked in return.  "What have you heard?"
