The Atelier

Patrick came by this past weekend and hung the chandelier I picked up in Topanga Canyon.  Vaguely rococo and manufactured in Mexico out of a wonderfully transluscent strawberry, vivid grape and orange plastic.   

We did not need to throw a scarf over any lamp to create enchantment. 

Do you suppose Prince Troubetzkoy ever threw caution to the wind? 

It is all about the light.

A little disoriented and yet happy these days.  I don't watch the news anymore.  I hear there are people who are really unhappy.  The ones who used to be patriotic are now saying to get armed and dangerous against the socialist scourge.  Or something.  They are afraid that an affordable government health care program for people under 65, as opposed to the one we already have for people over 65 -- that this is socialism and would undercut the private insurance companies.  Private health insurance companies would go under as a result.   And after all they've done for you.
